In short
Go Dogging's practical guides help adults get ready for a night at a private club, party or adult event: how consent works on the night, how to protect your privacy, how to spot fake events and ticket scams, and how to get there and home safely. Start with consent in practice, then check that the event is real.
Start with consent at clubs and parties, which covers asking, answering and changing your mind on the night. Before you pay for anything, read how to spot fake adult events, and plan your night with getting to a venue and home again safely. These guides apply wherever you go, as long as it's a private venue.
To find somewhere, see our venue guides, city by city. If it's your first time, your first visit to a club explains what to expect, and our consent policy and safety page set out the ground rules this site works to.
When to read each guide
Each guide fits a stage of the night, from booking to the morning after.

|---|---|---|
| Before you book | Spotting fake events | Checking an event is real before you pay |
| Before you book | Privacy | What to share with venues and online profiles |
| Before you leave | Getting there safely | Transport, telling a friend, what to carry |
| On the night | Consent in practice | Asking, answering and changing your mind |
| Afterwards | Privacy and our safety page | Images, reporting and getting help |
Consent and privacy on the night
- Consent at clubs and parties: asking, answering and changing your mind: how consent works for couples, after a drink, and when someone changes their mind.
- Keeping your privacy at clubs, parties and events: cameras, memberships, online profiles, and what to do if an image gets out.
Before you book and travel
- How to spot fake adult events and ticket scams: the warning signs, how to check an event is real, and where to report it if you've been caught.
- Getting to a venue and home again safely: planning both journeys, telling a friend, carrying little, and what to do if something goes wrong.
Where to go next
Once you've read the guide you need, the explainers cover the background: what dogging means, its history, and the etiquette at clubs and private parties.
Questions people ask
How do I know an adult event is real?
Check that it appears on the organiser's or venue's own website, not only in a chat or a reposted flyer. Be wary of events that hide the address until you've paid, want payment by bank transfer or gift card, or push you to decide quickly. Our fake-events guide covers the full checklist.
How can I keep a night at a club private?
Keep phones away in play areas, give only the personal details a venue genuinely needs, use a separate email for bookings if you like, and never agree to photos you wouldn't want shared. Our privacy guide explains what to do if an image gets out.
What should I sort out before I leave home?
Your journey both ways, a friend who knows where you are and when you'll be back, photo ID, and as little else as possible. Decide in advance that nobody drinks and drives.
